Physical Characteristics

The Keel-billed Toucan is the largest toucan species. It has a uniquely large, curved bill with small white lines above the upper bill near the head. Its head features bright green and blue feathers, with black lines around the eyes. Feathers around the neck to the chest are dark yellow, while tail feathers are bright red. It has short but strong legs, and its wing feathers sometimes feature blue and yellow or yellow-green colors.
